Originally designed for the US Marines, this lightweight, kidney-shaped water filter canteen is now available to everyone. The internal Fast Flow filter instantly removes up to 99.99% of water impurities and contaminants while you drink, and is suitable for use in New Zealand and throughout the developed world.
You can fill the bottle from literally any fresh water source – be it a tap, river, lake, stream – even a muddy puddle or stagnant pond. Then drink normally for instantly safe, clean, great-tasting water. You can even tip the bottle and squeeze water out for cooking or brushing your teeth.
Unlike other water treatment methods like boiling or purification drops, there’s no waiting around, so you can keep moving when you need to. There’s also a specially designed neoprene carry pouch available separately, that keeps your water cool while you carry it on your belt or shoulder.
And if you’re travelling further afield, you can swap the standard Fast Flow Filter for an Advanced Filter. The Advanced Filter (available separately) is ideal for travelling in third world countries, and offers further protection from waterborne viruses and disease.

Q: What does BPA-free mean?
A: A BPA-free product is one which does not contain the compound BPA or Bisphenol A. BPA is a compound used to make polycarbonate plastics (clear, shatter proof plastics) and epoxy resins (glues and coatings). This compound has the same properties and mimics the effects of the female hormone estrogen. Research has shown that BPA has a negative effect on fetal and infant brain development and behavior. Links have also been made between BPA consumption and obesity. A study by the Yale School of Medicine in 2008 found a connection between BPA and the interference with the brains cells related to memory, mood and learning. Many other studies have been undertaken and have shown links between BPA and cancer, thyroid dysfunction, reproductive issues and attention deficits. All of our products are BPA-free.
Q: Is the Military Canteen squeezable?
A: Yes, the Military Canteen is made from BPA free and non-leaching plastic. It is a softer plastic that enables you to squirt water into a mug or to brush your teeth, etc.
Q: Is the Military Canteen a standard military size bottle?
A: The kidney shaped base of the bottle is designed standard to fit into military pouches and webbing, and for comfort when carrying it on your hip, but the over all size of the canteen was made a little larger at the request of the US Marines who wanted to carry more water. So, we made the canteen a little taller changing the capacity from 800mls to 1.1 litres.
Q: What are the benefits of also getting the Military Canteen Carry Pouch?
A: The military canteen pouch is made from neoprene so it will keep your water cooler for longer by insulating the bottle. The pouch comes with a shoulder strap, or can be carried by threading your belt or webbing through the belt straps on the back of the pouch and carried around your waist.

Any order over $65 will be delivered with no courier charge. Any order under $65.00 will incur a $5.95 courier charge. Deliveries can be expected within 2-3 working days. Please add 1 day for rural delivery. All deliveries within New Zealand will be tracked by us through Poste Haste Couriers.
International:
If you wish to purchase products from countries other than New Zealand, a delivery charge of NZD$35 will apply.
